Women are better traders than men
More about the Market Barometer Reports coming next week
I have many passions and experience in a variety of different areas. I genuinely enjoy my life and thrive various challenges. Which is a quite a stark contrast to the my struggles depicted in Paperdolls & Cowboy Boots—when even as a child I dreamt of finally being at peace in a lacy coffin.1
When I first introduced the idea of bring you more of myself,2 it wasn’t to boast, but to show that there are so many avenues you can pursue, enjoy and love. I’m just showing you some of mine. I really want you to know you don’t have to be imprisoned in the confines of trauma and defined by the scars of your youth.
Beginning next week, each evening the stock market is open, paid subscribers will receive a short report of the Market Barometer.
I’ve had some concern about sending these reports out. My nephew, Paul, initially said that he’d be confused if he’d signed up for information about healing from sexual abuse and started getting information about the stock market.3 After I told him about Karen Fisher wanting me to become a therapist4 and how I delicately explained to her that I wanted more—I think Paul understood. I explained to Paul, that I felt like I’d lost so much in the first decades of my life to the ravages of childhood sexual abuse, I simply didn’t want to be in that arena as much anymore.
When I explained all that to Paul, he understood. I hope you do also.
I know the stock market can seem intimidating. If you aren’t an active trader right now, and you really don’t think you ever will be, that’s fine. Please follow substack’s instructions and unsubscribe to the “market barometer” section.
However, please remember my own experience. Before I dealt with the ramifications of the abuse of my childhood, I did quite well in certain areas. But, there were some things I didn’t have any more room in my brain to grow or learn.
Before therapy, I couldn’t even send a fax. Then, after therapy I was free. My mind was free. Within a few short years, Microsoft® named me one of the top web developers in the world. That’s astounding for someone who couldn’t even send a fax! So, healing and clearing out ol’ toxic beliefs and junk gives more room for growth. More room to learn and expand and enjoy your life.
Finally, I know there are quite a few women subscribers. I think there might even be a few more women than men paid subscribers here. Which is good, because statically speaking…..
WOMEN ARE BETTER TRADERS THAN MEN!
So here’s to shattering stereo types. If you want to know more of the reasons why women are better than men at trading, there’s numerous studies about it.5
The Market Barometer Reports are for experienced traders. If you are interested in learning more about how to trade, please let me know. I can provide some resources on how to start learning. My experience is that the market isn’t that hard to learn, except it has a lot of jargon that one must understand. Once the jargon and language is mastered, the concepts and how to trade comes much easier.
And, let’s face it, nothing is as hard as what you went through as a child. If you are interested, you can do it.
Many victims of childhood sexual abuse commit suicide. I’ve known several who have tragically died by their own hands. Hence my constant admonition to stay on this planet, if I can do it, you can. My post about Dr. Nadine Burke Harris’s work explains it well:
It was during this long drive that Paul and I talked about many aspects of Paperdolls, my experiences and adding benefits and enhancements to Paperdolls.today.
