Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: Paperdolls ~Today (Paperdolls & Cowboy Boots Book) subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space exclusively for paid subscribers—kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post questions and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion. I plan to be on our live chat area once a week for a couple of hours. To start, I will be online, live, for a couple of hours on Friday afternoons.
During the last year, I have received numerous requests for this type of discussion. I am extremely protective of survivors of sexual assault. In tying to add a layer of protection for survivors (and myself), I believe that making this for paid subscribers only will help diminish the likelihood of trolls, SPAM, or even DARVO attacks.
If you want to be part of the discussion, but for some reason cannot afford a paid subscription at this time, please drop us a note to:
If you receive any type of inappropriate or abusive note, please let me know at the above address also. This is intended to be a safe place for survivors. Hopefully a healing place.
There are several stellar therapists and professionals also on this list. I hope they join in some discussions. If they render advice, please be respectful of their time and boundaries.
How to get started
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Murphy's law[a] is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." In some formulations, it is extended to "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy's_law)
Within 30 minutes of sending out this announcement Substack went down! Even Substack's main site. UGH! Hopefully, this will go smoother during the week and during next week's afternoon chat session!
